A man is missing after five men fell into Lake Rotorua when their boat sunk. Police say they were told of the emergency about 6pm today.
They say a local resident went out in his own boat to try and help. He managed to rescued four people, but the last man could not be found.
Police and the Coastguard searched the lake with two boats. Searching will resume tomorrow morning.
