Pub fight leaves man critically injured

A 24-year-old man is in a critical condition following a fight outside a pub in Levin in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police said two men were arguing at the Molotov Pub land were being ushered out as the pub closed.

The argument quickly escalated and a brawl broke out between two groups of people, aged in their early to mid 20s.

The man was knocked unconcious by a punch to the head and was taken to Palmerston North Hospital. His condition deteriorated the next day, and he was airlifted to Wellington Hospital in a critical condition.
