Not guilty plea over Paekakariki death

11:44 am on 3 February 2015

A woman accused of involvement in the murder of a man whose body was found near his crashed car on Paekakariki Hill Road has pleaded not guilty.

Kelly Crook, 28, appeared before Justice France in the High Court in Wellington this morning.

She was jointly charged, along with Stuart Wilton and Darrin Wilkie-Morris, of murdering Matthew Stevens in November.

Her co-accused were not in court but they were expected to enter pleas at their next appearance.

Ms Crook sought electronic bail but Justice France declined the application and remanded all three accused in custody until they reappear in court in April.
