Low-decile schools need more help in applying for exam assistance for students with disabilities, the Dyslexia Foundation says.

Children from low-decile schools, it said, were badly under-represented among the 4400 students last year who got help, such as reader-writers or extra time to complete exams.
It said despite moves by the Qualifications Authority to make it cheaper and easier to apply for special assessment conditions, just 17 of the students granted them were from decile 1 schools.
The authority said it was working with the Education Ministry to raise awareness on how to apply for the special conditions.
