Jury taken to scene of girl's killing in Kerikeri

The jury in the trial of a teenager charged with murdering Liberty Templeman has been to Kerikeri to view the scene of her killing.

A 16-year-old is on trial in the High Court in Whangarei over her death. He has name suppression.

He has admitted to choking Miss Templeman, 15, and dragging her unconscious body into a stream, where she drowned. He has denied the murder charge.

Jurors also viewed other places mentioned in the trial, including the home of the accused and the bushes where police found a shirt stained with Miss Templeman's blood.
