A man is due to appear in the Auckland District Court on Monday morning accused of murdering two people in a CBD apartment block.
Two bodies were found in a first floor apartment on Saturday. A specialist team spent almost three hours negotiating with a man who was armed with a knife and threatening to jump off an 11th floor balcony.
Neither of the victims have been formally identified, but the police say they were both male.
The accused, aged 30, also faces a charge of aggravated robbery and one of possessing an offensive weapon.
