The Wellington Phoenix have beaten Perth Glory 4-2 on penalties, in a nail-biting football match at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Sunday.
A record 24,000 strong crowd watched as the home team took the lead in the first half with a goal to Chris Greenacre.
But Perth struck back in the second half to level the scores in the 66th minute.
The scores stayed locked for the remainder of regular time and 30 minutes of extra time forcing the match into penalties.
Goalkeeper Liam Reddy made three saves to secure the Phoenix win.
The Phoenix will meet the Newcastle Jets in Wellington in two weeks time.
