A Korean mother-of-two, Yoon Sook Chun, vanished from her home in the Christchurch suburb of Aidanfield in May 2009, and her bank accounts have not been used since.

Detective Sergeant Ross Tarawhiti said, since posting the reward two weeks ago, the police have received 10 credible sightings - four of which have been eliminated. The others are still being investigated.

The reports have come from around the country, including from Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch.

Mr Tarawhiti said Mrs Chun was either still alive and being helped by someone, or was dead and the police had not yet been able to locate her body.

Mr Tarawhiti said her family was no longer in New Zealand but police were trying to contact her husband in Korea.
