The condition of two of the three people injured in a plane crash near Fox Glacier township is improving.

A Cessna plane connected with high tension power lines on Friday, knocking out power to the area.

A man taken to Greymouth Hospital is now listed as being in a satisfactory condition.

Canterbury District Health Board says another person taken to Christchurch Hospital is now in a stable condition, while the third remains in a serious, but stable condition.

The Civil Aviation Authority is investigating the crash.
