Kylee Kathleen Green and Patricia Tahere Green were facing charges of theft and receiving, over the removal of Shell Todd Oil Service's seismic survey pegs this month.

The flexible plastic pegs were placed to survey the ground in a search for natural gas, Shell Todd documentation showed.

Five people were arrested when a protest outside Hawera District Court in support of the women became violent early this month, injuring an officer.

An arrest warrant was issued for Kylee Green after she failed to reappear in court this morning.

Patricia Green appeared in closed court today on the theft charges, flanked by police and court security staff.

She refused to enter the dock but the judge allowed her case to be heard in the body of the court.

Mrs Green entered no plea and was remanded until next month.
