Citizens and Ratepayers has named 11 of its 20 candidates for seats on the region-wide Auckland Council.
The ticket includes former Auckland City mayor Christine Fletcher and the athlete-turned-politician Dick Quax.
Citizens and Ratepayers has largely been a central Auckland group with National Party connections, but believes the the brand will work across the entire region in the election to be held in October.
Absent from the line-up is Auckland City deputy mayor and long-serving councillor David Hay, who will not seek re-election after nearly three decades.
Labour and the City Vision ticket are still accepting nominations.
