A man convicted of the 2003 killing of his former girlfriend is to be released from jail after serving three years.
Mark Pakenham was sentenced to six years and seven months imprisonment in 2013 for killing 31-year-old Sara Neithe by injecting her with methamphetamine in March 2003.
Neither Ms Neithe's body nor her car have been found.
The Parole Board said Pakenham was to be released from prison today.
In its decision, the board said, since his last appearance before it, Pakenham had undergone treatment for his violent offending, and so could be released.
He is subject to special conditions until his sentence formally ends in March 2018.
