Invercargill police say a man who cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet is dangerous and should not be approached.

Quintin Hamilton, who is wanted for breaching home detention conditions, removed his monitoring bracelet yesterday.
Police said he was dangerous, was facing charges of assault and should not be approached.
Hamilton is the second man to cut his electronic monitoring bracelet within the past 24 hours.
Corrections Minister Judith Collins said new electronic monitoring bracelets, which were harder to remove, were being rolled out in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, another dangerous man remains on the run after he removed his electronic monitoring bracelet a month ago.

Cain Douglas-Tera removed his bracelet in late May in Ngaruawahia.
He is described as Pacific Island, 170 centimetres tall and of large build.
Police said he had extensive contacts in the Waikato region and should not be approached.
