Police are appealing for help to find 21-year-old Rhys Dunn, who has been missing for four days.
They say they have concerns for his safety and wellbeing.
Mr Dunn was last seen in Queenstown at 11am on Friday morning.
His vehicle, a black Toyota Corolla hatchback, was found in the carpark of the Forest Hill Scenic Reserve in Southland.
Police and Search and Rescue volunteers have searched the area and a full search will begin in the morning.
