Four people are in custody after a high speed pursuit in Auckland.

Officers signalled a car to stop for speeding on West Coast Road in the suburb of Glen Eden about 3am but police said carried on to Henderson Valley Road.
Police said they began the pursuit when the car failed to stop.
When the car reached excessive speeds on Lincoln road officers abandoned the pursuit for safety reasons.
A police said the vehicle was found dumped nearby a short time later, and police dogs helped find the four occupants.
