A 36-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in an incident in the Auckland suburb of Onehunga.
Police said they were investigating a serious assault after an incident in Trafalgar Street around 3am.
Another man was also being treated for injuries.
Police were speaking to a 16-year-old man about the incident and said they were not seeking anyone else, but were still working to determine exactly what occurred.
