Spinal and neck injuries after pair fall 20m

A teenage girl is in a serious condition after falling down a cliff in Auckland.

Emergency services were called to North Head in the suburb of Devonport shortly before 10pm.

Police said the 16-year-old girl and a 33-year-old man had fallen about 20m.

A Fire Service spokesperson said the pair had spinal and neck injuries and were now in Auckland Hospital.

An Auckland Hospital spokesperson said the man was no longer in hospital but the girl remained in a serious but stable condition.
