Two people will appear in court this morning after a car crashed during a police pursuit in Auckland.
A speeding black Mercedes Benz failed to stop for police in the suburb of Parnell shortly before 2.30am.
Police said the car lost control on Orakei Road and crashed into a power pole. They said the vehicle's two occupants, a 32-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, ran from the car but were caught and arrested.
A man will appear in court this morning on driving charges, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and drug charges and a woman will appear for breaching bail conditions.
