Searchers have found a man who went missing while pig hunting in dense bush in the hills behind Thames.
Nigel Cross, 39, had not been seen since he entered the bush for a short hunting trip on Thursday afternoon.
The police say he was found unharmed on Saturday afternoon near Andesite Creek in the Kopu-Hikuai Valley.
They say Mr Cross had made a shelter, lit a fire, and stayed in the same location, which was the right thing to do.
On Friday, search teams found a trail of torn plastic, which they believed Mr Cross was dropping to help them find him.
