Police in Christchurch are searching for three people who threatened a dairy worker with a hammer and machete in the suburb of Woolston.

Police said around 5am yesterday three people entered the Night 'n Day dairy on Ferry Road, and threatened staff with a hammer and machete.
They took cigarettes and cash and left the staff member shaken but uninjured, police said.
Anyone with information about the trio is asked to contact Christchurch police.
