Police have named the man shot dead in Mohaka yesterday, as his father appears in court, accused of his murder.
Blair Philip Herbert Cole, 42, was shot at a rural property in the Hawke's Bay settlement of Mohaka, near Wairoa, yesterday morning.
His 62-year-old father appeared in the Gisborne District Court this morning, and was remanded in custody to reappear next month.
A post mortem will be carried out tomorrow.
