Fire fighters had to free a person from their car following a crash in Auckland this morning.

The car crashed into a power pole on Karaka Road in Karaka about 8.30am, causing the pole to fall.
Fire crews had to wait until the power company arrived and isolated the power.
They said the person had moderate injuries and had been taken to hospital, and police and ambulance were also at the scene.
