The Fire Service is investigating a suspicious fire at a school in Rangiora, Canterbury.

Crews from the town and nearby Woodend found a classroom block at Maungatere Alternative Education Centre engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene on Goodall Lane just after 3am.
The fire has been extinguished.
