The man, who has name suppression, faced a trial in the Auckland District Court but the trial was aborted earlier this month.

According to the police charge sheets, two new complainants have come forward.

The new charges bring the total number of charges to 14.

The reasons for the trial being aborted after just two days are suppressed.

The court was told the award-winning actor kissed and touched and performed sex acts on his students during private acting classes.

There were four complainants in the case, all women in their early 20s at the time of the classes.

The defence said the women gave informed consent and were seeking revenge after a romantic relationship between the accused and one of the women broke down.

A new trial date will be set for next year.
