A group of four people were arrested after attempting to escape from the scene of a failed robbery at an Upper Hutt address last night.
Police were called by the homeowner after catching the group trying to break into the owner's house.
Three of the group, all men, fled the address leaving a woman behind.
Two of the men were caught nearby while the third ran into a nearby park and was pursued by the police dog.
The man was soon caught.
One of the men was wanted by police for a serious assault.
