Fire crews in Christchurch have contained a grass fire that was threatening property on Richmond Hill, near Sumner.
Emergency services were alerted to the fire just before 9pm.
The Fire Service said the blaze had been contained and no properties were damaged.
Crews from Sumner, Woolston, Lyttelton and Christchurch City were still at the scene.
The service was called earlier today to a large scrub fire in Marlborough, and another that burned through eight hectares of harvested forestry debris in the Far North.
