A 14-year-old has been arrested and charged in relation to the armed robbery of an all-night dairy in the Nelson suburb of Stoke early on Christmas Day, police say.
Detective Sergeant Ian Langridge said, meanwhile, inquiries were continuing into a second aggravated robbery in Nelson early yesterday morning.
A man armed with a knife and wearing a balaclava entered a service station in Tahunanui and demanded the staff member open the cigarette cabinet and till.
Mr Langridge said the police advised business owners to review security arrangements for staff working alone in late night premises.
