A man's body has been found inside a van that sank after it crashed into a bridge at Rangitata Terrace Road.
Police said a green van was travelling south on Arundel Rakaia Road around 8am when it crashed into the bridge.
The van entered nearby water and became fully submerged. Police found a man's body inside.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
