United Airlines pulls some NZ flights

United Airlines has announced it will suspend its Auckland to San Francisco flights from April to October this year.

The airline said the change was seasonal, with a lack of demand during those months.

It will resume the flights in late October, and then add three extra flights between Auckland and San Francisco from December, when demand is at its highest.

United Airlines said it was contacting passengers who had booked flights between April and October and would transfer them to Air New Zealand services.
