A woman has been airlifted to Whangarei Hospital in a serious condition after her car crashed into a ditch near Kaipara in Northland.
Police said they were called to the single vehicle crash on Paparoa Oakleigh Road shortly before 4pm.
Motorists were warned to expect delays in the area.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
