Three students struggling to get into affordable accommodation in Auckland have built a website to help others find cheap rooms to rent.

The AUT students behind the website Flattie.space say the housing situation in the city is in a chronic state of chaos.
They have made a simple online map that gives people a quick and easy overview of where the cheapest suburbs are.
The website was created by Matvey Tarchutkin, Julian de Villiers and Walt Lim as part of their Bachelor in Creative of Creative Technologies at AUT.
Mr Lim said the housing data from the Government is too complicated and listings on Trademe made it difficult to compare suburbs.
The team used information from July 2016 from the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment to develop the site.
Once new data was available the team would update on the website.
Mr Lim also hoped to include information for home buyers and sellers on the site.
"We're hoping to make it more useful to home owners. We're hoping to take in pricing information for properties in a given area."
"Try to help them figure out how much is my home worth in my area. And then if you open up pricing data then you'll also want to know more about the suburb, that's where it gets a bit tricky."
Mr Lim said they had held a meeting with Trademe, and they were impressed with the technology.
"It (flattie.space) was actually making Trademe a bit of cash. They were tracking it and it had made them a few hundred bucks a few days after we launched it.
"Last I checked we had a few thousand visitors going through to Trademe."
