A toddler has died at Makarau, northwest of Auckland, after paramedics were unable to revive him.
St John Ambulance said paramedics were called at about 3.30pm yesterday. The 21-month-old was declared dead at the scene.
They said the death was related to a water incident, but would not release any other details.
Police said they were making inquiries.
