Police have charged a man with the murder of Northland Tribesman gang member Kimble Moore.
Mr Moore was the subject of a long-running missing person's inquiry after his partner reported him missing in March last year.
Police upgraded the case to a homicide in August, before his body was found in a grave site in remote Northland bush in September.
The man charged with murder was already in custody on other matters, and his first appearance will be in the Kaitaia District Court on 23 February.
Police said it had been a long and tough year for Mr Kimble's partner and family, and they hoped the arrest would help them in their recovery.
