A man was stabbed during a 30 to 40 person street brawl in Auckland last night, police say.
He was taken to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition, but he was now stable.
Police said they responded to reports of up to 40 people fighting in the street in Glen Innes about 1.40am.
They said the brawl had mostly broken up by the time officers arrived, but they would continue to investigate what happened.
