Fire fighters who searched a burning South Auckland home say there was no one inside.
The Fire Service said they were called to the house on Shirley Road in Papatoetoe around 10.45am
Fire Service spokesman Scott Osmond said the house was fully engulfed when crews arrived, but the fire was now under control.
Crews searched the house after reports people were inside, but have since confirmed it was empty.
