A memorial statue commissioned by the New Zealand RAF Bomber Command Association will be officially unveiled at the Auckland War Memorial Museum in March.
The museum cancelled the space for the $100,000 sculpture of six airmen in October, saying it was too big. However, it changed its mind last month after the association objected.
The sculpture will be officially dedicated in the presence of a full colour guard.
