The FBI is trying to find a New Zealand woman wanted on a charge of kidnapping her daughter from the United States.
Bianca Ormsby, 24, is believed to have been hiding in New Zealand since March with her one-year-old daughter Sydney Thomas.
American website journalist Lee Higgins has been talking to the child's father, Adam Thomas, who told the journalist he had received an e-mail from Ms Ormsby saying she was in New Zealand.
Lee Higgins said Ms Ormsby is wanted on several charges, including a federal charge of international parental kidnap, which he said is punishable by up to three years' jail.
