Police believe a man they've been searching for near the Auckland harbour bridge swam safely to the North Shore.
Emergency services early this morning rescued another man, who was taken to hospital.
The pair, who did not previously know each other, had met at a Karangahape Rd bar.
Police are asking the other man - believed to be called Johnny - to contact them to confirm he's safe and well.
