Three prisoners are believed to have attacked two staff members at Rimutaka Prison.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon.
The Corrections department says one of the staff members was taken to hospital and was treated for minor injuries and discharged.
Police were investigating and Corrections deputy prison director Viv Whelan said any violent prisoner would be held to account.
