A man who faked illness then ran off before a court appearance is still missing in Porirua, police say, but he is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Rikihana, or Ricky, Tawhai was due to appear in the Porirua Dustrict Court yesterday morning.
An ambulance was called after Tawhai said he was ill, but the 27-year-old fled the courthouse while he was being assessed.
He still had not been found and police asked for help locating him, but said is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
They described him as having a solid build, with tattoos on both arms.
Police said yesterday they were reviewing their handling of the incident.
