A man and a woman have been charged after knife robberies at two suburban pharmacies in Wellington.
A woman, 41, and a man, 21, of Christchurch were arrested on Wednesday afternoon, after a robbery at the Woburn Pharmacy on Whites Line East in Lower Hutt.
Pharmacy staff were threatened by a man with a knife who demanded morphine, but a witness noted the registration details of a waiting car and the pair were arrested soon after.
They are also charged in connection with a robbery at the Johnsonville Medical Centre pharmacy on 3 January.
At the Lower Hutt District Court on Thursday, the man was remanded in custody until 20 January and the woman was remanded on bail until 3 February.
