Police are looking for a man they say is armed and dangerous, travelling in a stolen car in the South Island.

Michael John Hughes, 36, is wanted for a number of theft charges.
He has a tattoo of a fist on the right side of his face.
Police believe he is travelling in a stolen Subaru Impreza station wagon, registration number AUP920.
They said he had committed offences in Blenheim, Christchurch, Oamaru, and Dunedin.
