A woman has died after a crash involving three cars and two trucks on State Highway 1 in Waikato, between Putāruru and Tokoroa.
Police said the crash happened just after 2pm, and involved three cars and two trucks at a road works site.
The dead truck driver, who has not been named, was aged in her 60s, police said.
SH1 was closed between Wiltsdown Road and Ngatira Road, and diversions were in place.
Drivers were warned to expect delays.
