Fog puts damper on Auckland flights - again

11:47 am on 30 June 2017

Fog is causing problems at Auckland Airport, where 18 regional flights have been cancelled and 12 delayed.

Fog restrictions were imposed at 2.45am and have been lifted but then imposed again several times.

The airport is advising passengers travelling today to regional airports to check whether their flight is affected before they travel.

No main trunk domestic departures or international flights have been cancelled.

Fog restrictions were lifted late morning but flight disruptions have continued.

It's the fifth day this month that travellers have been delayed by fog at the aiport.

There's been more fog disruption than usual this year and and MetService has said that was likely to continue through winter.
