A truck with chemicals on board has overturned on State Highway 1 near at Karapiro.

The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash and no other cars were involved.
Police said the road SH1 south of Karapiro, between Karapiro Road and SH29 (road to Tauranga) would be closed until about 2pm. Diversions are in place.
Emergency services were removed the truck and clearing the chemicals.
