The Ministry of Health says it does not think the number of swine flu cases this winter has peaked.

The number of people suspected to have died from the H1N1 virus this year has risen to six.

Of the 389 people hospitalised, 59 were admitted to intensive care.

Director of Public Health Mark Jacobs says there have been many cases in the North Island and parts of the South Island are likely to see more cases in the coming weeks.
