Search and Rescue teams have recovered the body of a diver who went missing near Cape Reinga yesterday.

The 49-year-old Kaitaia man was reported missing by his dive companion last evening after he failed to resurface at Sandy Bay.
Searchers who went to the scene last night began their search at first light this morning.
Police said they were thankful they were quickly able to locate the body of the diver today.
