One of the few Christchurch office blocks to survive the 2011 earthquake will be redeveloped in to a hub for new technology businesses to be known as the 'Lighthouse'.

The eight storey building was formerly home to Inland Revenue and was bought by the government rebuild agency Otakaro following the earthquakes.
It has now been sold for an undisclosed sum to the developer Studio D4, which is behind a number of new office blocks in the nearby Innovation Precinct.
The building has a 2016 rating valuation of $26 million.
As well as offices it would be converted in to student accommodation.
It sits over the road from the site of the CTV Building that collapsed in the earthquake, killing 115 people.
Plans have just been unveiled for a memorial garden on the site which will be completed in time for next year's anniversary.
