Fire crews have put out a blaze at a school in Christchurch, they say could have been lit deliberately.
Three fire engines were called to Linwood North School about 5.30pm.
A Fire and Emergency spokesman said the fire broke out in the school hall which is under construction.
He said the fire was being treated as suspicious, and police and a fire investigator would return to the scene tomorrow morning.
