A man has been charged with reckless driving causing death over a fatal police pursuit in Auckland last month.

Two people were killed and three others injured when a car crashed into a tree on St Lukes Road.
Police said the driver had been speeding on the Northwestern Motorway shortly before.
The Independent Police Conduct Authority is also investigating.
